Scentbird raises $2.8 million


Subscription-based business models are common these days. One of the companies starting to make a mark in the space is New York-based Scentbird. Scentbird is a monthly fragrance subscription service, which lets users try luxury perfumes for one month before they purchase them. Each month, for $14.95, Scentbird sends its subscribers an 8 ml purse spray of a scent of their choice. The company offers over 400 designer fragrances that users can choose from, without having to commit to a full bottle. Scentbird announced today it received $2.8 million in funding from Eclipse Ventures, Vaizra Investments, Ludlow Ventures, and SGH Capital. This raises the company’s total funding to $3.84 million.
