March 9, 2016 Comments Off on Roofstock launches with a $13.25 million Series A round
Buying a house to be leased can be a big hassle. You have to search for the right property, renovate it, look for a tenant and then manage the property. Roofstock, the newly-launched online real estate marketplace, aims to change this. It offers a proprietary inventory of single-tenant homes that are already leased, renovated, professionally managed and generates income. The website provides analytical tools and diligence information so interested buyers can compare prices, gain essential information and vet out a possible new investment. Once a buyer decides on a house, all it has to do is purchase the property online and Roofstock will take care of the rest. The closing is facilitated quickly and securely by electronic document delivery and e-signatures.
On the 3 March 2016, Roofstock announced it had secured $13.25 million in Series A funding from a consortium of investors. You can read about the funding here.
