Who would have thought a laundry service could pick up a seven-figure funding from investors? Rinse, a San Francisco-based startup that provides dry cleaning and laundry delivery service did just that, through a capital raising of $6 million. The startup has made laundry pick up and delivery high tech and convenient. Customers can book this through the Rinse app, the website or text messages. Rinse valets, who drive their own cars, pick-up and drop-off laundry from 8 to 10 p.m. each night. Rinse laundry bags are tagged with QR codes, which enables the company keep track of all the laundry they handle. Rise plans to use this capital to expand its service outside of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
