Kamcord raises $10 million

Kamcord, the popular mobile game streaming service, has launched appcasting, a new feature that lets Android users stream a live view of their mobile phone’s screen. According to Kamcord founder, Aditya Ratham, appcasting is the next step in mobile media capture. Unlike YouTube or Snapchat, which requires users to shoot videos, Kamcord’s appcasting utilises the mobile phone’s own screen as the camera, allowing virtually anyone to live stream anything that appears on the screens of their mobile phones. Broadcasters can show websites, apps or videos in real time and create a different kind of content. Along with the launch of appcasting, Kamcord announced a $10 million Series C funding led by Time Warner.
