Quora acquires Parlio

There are plenty of crowdsourced answer websites out there, but only a few stand out from the crowd, like Quora. Quora stands out from its competitors because it has taken the Q&A format to new heights by providing real answers from real experts. Now Quora is pushing the envelope further by acquiring Parlio, a platform that gives its users the power to express their ideas about social change. According to its founders, Wael Ghonim and Osman Ahmed Osman, Parlio aims to create an online space for thoughtful conversations around the world’s most critical issues. Discussions in Parlio have included serious topics such as free speech, race, the 2016 U.S. elections, the refugee crisis, and terrorism. The acquisition will give Parlio access to Quora’s 100 million users. You can read about the acquisition here.
